Translucent Glow

I saw this as a curtain. It was there between me and something in the last bright light of a January afternoon. Stuff like this waits for the winter snows, winds, freezes and thaws to clear it away for next year's replacements. This year it's had to wait longer for nature's maid service. So it's become even more fragile and with its dominant colors bleached away... It seems to glow, almost translucently under the day's last light.

Hi Ted,

I really like this kind of glow when the late light gets caught in the delicate structures of these grasses. This year I have made a lot of attempts at this kind of photograph, 6 - Don't Comment on This being the best. It's easy here in Vienna because they have a new fashion of planting these grasses that look the same all year :)

I've received "Understanding Comics" yesterday, but I guess I won't be able to read it any time this month.

By the way: Ted, you should really switch to the new Blogger just out of beta. I had some fears to do it, but when I did, it was such an incredible change. I had already considered switching to wordpress.com or one of the other blogging services, just because Blogger was so flaky and so slow. Since switching though, I have never experienced any problem and publishing is instant now. The timeline in the sidebar is neat as well.
