Bummer. When I heard this in the news I immediately thought of you and how this would affect your trip. The good news is, you'll have more time to learn the ins and outs of the 7D.

I love the way you tell a story :) but I am sorry to hear that your trip is delayed. At least you're not one of the unfortunate people who are caught up in this disaster and as Bill says you'll be able to become better acquainted with your new camera.

i know this is so unhelpful but (honestly) there is always a reason for these things (sometimes we dont ever get to know the reason) ... just 'know' there is one ... :)

I dont know if this is of any use to you but if you drag those lovely jpg pages of your 'story' into picassa you can create a slideshow which pages through each page - viewers can stop each page through as they wish (or you can set the timing) ...

i agree, you put it together beautifully

Oh, Ted, I'm so sorry about your trip having to be postponed or canceled.

Since I've been there and have taken that very train, I shudder to think of all the people trapped there. It's literally out in the middle of nowhere for miles and miles. The little town of Aguas Calientes (Hot Springs) at the foot of Machu Picchu - it's so close to the river. I hope no more mudslides occurred right there. Some of the structures at Machu Picchu are perched very precariously on the mountain edges - oh gee, I hate to see this happening.

Hmm ... Ted, this is already a week past. Can we please get some pictures taken with the 7D??? One? Only one??? And if it's not a picture, maybe an opinion about this latest marble of Japan's camera industry, the best APS-C camera on the planet??? You know, it doesn't get better not being used. This is a camera, no a bottle of wine :)
