For Miss Natalie

Long ago Mr. Jones sent her to Miss Natalie.

Then never called again.

For decades Miss Natalie groomed her...

And since Miss Natalie's death, I've fed her there in the window's gusty light...

Awaiting Mr. Jones.

She keeps her faithful watch, perhaps for each of them?

And here's the virgin image...

Thanks to you both. This is a true story. Natalie was my maiden aunt, a lady who helped raise me and became my third parent. Mr. Jones was her... friend. His last gift was a mysterious box, and this plant. I've kept the plant, who I call Natalie, as a memorial. She greets me every day in my studio's Western window. Oddly, she only bloomed once... three years ago on the anniversary of my aunt's death.

A coincidence of course?
